Rabbi Yisrael Davidowitz grew up in Rochester, New York, where his father founded and is currently the Rosh Hayeshiva of a Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva High School, Beis Medrash and Kollel. He studied there until he married, then moved to Queens to join the Chofetz Chaim kollel to advance his studies .
Rabbi Davidowitz thoroughly enjoys teaching Torah and, over the years, has taught at many levels, including Yeshiva high school and Beis Medrash boys, baal habatim, and kiruv rechokim. He founded the Brooklyn Branch of TBT and The Shmuz in 2005 and led it for the first few years of its existence, delivering classes and running programs that drew over one hundred people at times.
In 2007, he spent time in Israel training to become a mohel and has since built a successful practice in NYC and now in the Greater Philadelphia area. After receiving Semicha in 2008, he focused his efforts on non-profit alternative fundraising models to benefit Yeshivos. He founded a successful organization and has been a featured speaker at Jewish Professional conventions and other venues on the topic of revenue generation concepts and models for non-profits.
He brings his unique experience and professionalism to FTI to run administrative and fiscal operations at the school, with a strong focus on development. At FTI he puts his skills to work, as well as doing what he loves most; teaching Torah and helping people come closer to Hashem. Rabbi Davidowitz currently lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with his wife Yael (nee Rosin) and their four sons.
Rabbi Chaim Juni completed his post-secondary studies at the Rabbinical Seminary of America, Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim in Queens. There he was ordained as Rabbi in 2009. Rabbi Juni recalls how Rabbi Bentzion Shafier, one of his high school rebbeim, inspired him with his insistence that true happiness can be attained only through Torah learning. This encouraged Rabbi Juni to make a career out of Harbotzas HaTorah, spreading Torah.
Rabbi Juni completed the Principal’s Training Initiative in conjunction with the Consortium of Jewish Day schools. He has a wealth of teaching experience on the high school level, among them, Mesivta Chofetz Chaim in Queens, Yeshiva Kesser Yisroel of Willowbrook, and the Talmudical Institute of Upstate New York. He has taught Gemara, Halacha, Chumash, and Hashkafa, as well as arranged extra-curricular events and activities for his students.
Rabbi Juni is known for his dynamic and engaging personality. He is a caring and beloved Rebbe who makes meaningful lasting relationships with his talmidim. Rabbi Juni’s intuitive understanding of his students allows him to go beyond the teacher’s role. Consistently, he manages to earn the trust and respect of his students and the confidence of their parents.
Rabbi Juni’s leadership experience includes heading the Jewish Education Program (JEP) in Jamaica Estates for ten years. The program is designed to teach Judaism to children enrolled in public schools. In addition, he organized a summer Torah Umesorah sponsored SEED program in Las Vegas for six summers. There he gave adult education classes, conducted teenage learning sessions, and learned with community members on a daily basis.
Rabbi Juni joined the Foxman Torah Institute in 2010 and acts as principal as well as ninth grade Rebbe. Rabbi Juni currently lives in Northeast Philadelphia with his wife Zippy and their five children.
Rabbi Shimon Max has a wealth of Yeshiva experience from serving as Rosh Hayeshiva and Rebbe for well over a decade. Prior to his teaching experience, Rabbi Max served as an Assistant Rabbi in Havurat Yisrael, a large synagogue in Forest Hills, New York, where he conducted a popular Beginners’ Service every Shabbos and Yom Tov for about five years. To this day, many of his Baal Habatim remain in close contact with him, as well as help support the Yeshiva he founded in Cherry Hill.
Rabbi Max has followed the directive of our Rebbe, Hagoan Harav Henoch Leibowitz, ZT’L to assume a position of Rosh Hayishiva, in order to maximize his talents in serving Klal Yisroel. Rabbi Max’s charisma and warmth has enlightened many over the years, and he continues to inspire his students today to the beauty and depth of Torah. Rabbi Max has been privileged to serve as an assistant rebbe in the shiurim of such great Torah luminaries such as The Rosh Hayeshiva, Hagoan Harav Henoch Leibowitz, ZT’L, as well as Hagoan Harav Shmuel Niman, Shlita.
He’s taught advanced high school and Beis Medrash gemara shiurim, both in our parent Yeshiva, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Queens, and in Foxman Torah Institute to virtually every grade and level. Rabbi Max is actively building a Bais Medrash program for FTI and serves as Rosh Yeshiva and will give a shiur to the Bais Medrash.
Rabbi Max resides in Cherry Hill with his wife and children. Over the years, countless students have enjoyed the hospitality and care of the Max family as well as the delicious cooking of his Rebbitzen.
Mr. Fred Brockman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Education and his Master of Science degree in biology both from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Mr. Brockman has been involved in public education for 37 years and Jewish education for eight years. He served as Chairman of the Science Department at Haverford Middle School and Havertown High School in Pennsylvania. On five different occasions, Mr. Brockman has been included in “Who’s Who Among American Teachers.”
He has taught Holocaust Studies to high school students at several synagogues in Pennsylvania. Mr. Brockman has presented educational papers at the Pennsylvania State and National Science Teachers Association Conventions, and at the New Jersey Association of Jewish Day Schools Conventions. He has developed and presented classroom management workshops to several school districts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey based on the premise of “Teaching With Menchlichtkeit”.
Mr. Brockman serves as the General Studies Principal at FTI and has developed an exceptional General Studies Program with a professional and experienced staff. In addition to selecting qualified and dynamic teachers, Mr. Brockman expertly oversees the daily operations of the secular department and mentors and evaluates student progress. He utilizes his experience to continually enhance the curriculum and to provide professional development. Mr. Brockman lives in Cherry Hill with his wife.
